Bio
Sarah Silk was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After earning a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Chicago, she moved to New York City to pursue an acting career. Sarah's New York theater experience includes working with the Faux-Real Theatre Company, in the Fringe Festival, and as a member of the Flea Theater's resident acting company the Bats. Through them, she has worked on new plays with talented writers and directors such as Mac Wellman, Tommy Smith, Loy Arcenas, Mark Greenfield, and Blair Brown.
Sarah is currently taking a break from the audition circuit to train with some of the best teachers in the business. After a year training full-time in NYC at The Studio, which was formerly the Actors Center Conservatory, Sarah decided to go to graduate school. She is now getting her MFA in acting at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. She will graduate from the 3-year program in May 2012. She is available to audition for summer work.
